Bio
Mahnoosh is a Senior Principal Scientist at Interactions, currently focused on several areas of Natural Language Understanding and Conversational AI. She completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering – Signal Processing at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. The focus of her graduate research was on studying the impact of speaking style on speech processing systems such as speaker/language identification and speech recognition. After finishing her PhD, she started working at AT&T Research Labs, and later joined Interactions, where she has worked on spoken language understanding and uncertainty estimation in conversational systems. She is currently working on few-shot learning methods and their application in natural language processing.
