Guidelines
We’d like to offer members of the community the opportunity to share their recent work and lessons learned along the way with each other. MLconf gathers machine learning & AI enthusiasts from a broad range of industries and academic backgrounds to share new tools, tricks, platforms, algorithms and methods with a broad audience of practitioners. Each presentation and/or blog post, should offer an educational component to be shared with the community, in which specific algorithms and techniques can be shared and new applications of such are inspired.
Successful Blog Posts:
- Please review the MLconf blog for past posts, to gain an understanding of the topics covered and relevance for the community.
- Please avoid persuasive language about your company, and/or numerous mentions of the product. Note: What may be appropriate for your website blog could come off as a sales pitch to our audience.
- The MLconf blog serves to offer members of the community to share “lessons learned” with each other. So, sharing technical details of algorithms and techniques used in industry, which can be used elsewhere, is the aim.
- One quick way to assess this: run a search in your piece for “your product name” and try to narrow this down to one or two mentions.. maybe just in your bio at the end.
- The goal is to not have it come off as a product pitch, but to share an interesting tip that others can use. If the post is helpful, that’s the best visibility for this kind of audience.
Content Inspiration for MLconf Blog Posts:
- Algorithms that have graduated from an academic/theory state and have proven to be effective, robust and scalable in production within industry application
- Machine Learning/AI examples of specific challenges faced within current industry and how teams have found success by applying new algorithms & techniques or by applying tweaks to existing practices for optimal outcomes
- New platforms, tools for machine learning. Emphasis should be given on the technical challenges, benchmarks and motivation for the development.
