Hi everyone, my name is Jianqiang (Jay) Wang. I received my Ph.D. degree in Statistics from Iowa State University, and have worked in both San Francisco bay area and China for 13 years post graduation. My main focus is in data science, machine learning and natural language processing. My most recent experience was to lead data science teams in kuaishou and focused on content creation and video search. The team consisted of ~20 data scientists and data analysts, and we worked on problems ranging from content understanding/cold-start, creator incentives to search evaluation and growth. Prior to that, I worked as a technical lead in Snap video and geofilter ads ranking team, lead data scientist that worked on Stitch Fix recommender systems, and a data scientist in twitter ads ranking and prediction team.
