Dean Wampler (Mastodon & Bluesky: @deanwampler) is an expert in AI/ML systems. He is IBM Research’s Head of Technology for the AI Alliance (thealliance.ai). Previously, he led several AI-focused engineering teams at IBM Research. Before IBM, he worked for Domino Data Lab, Anyscale, Lightbend, and other companies on ML/AI and streaming data technologies. Dean is an O’Reilly author, a blogger at deanwampler.medium.com, a contributor to several open-source projects, and a frequent public speaker. Dean has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington.
