Debasmita is a data scientist with a decade of experience in Finance and Artificial Intelligence, specializing in fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering, HR Analytics, Credit Card & Mortgage Risk. She leads a data science team in Mastercard and dedicated to developing AI-driven solutions in the financial crime domain, has an impressive portfolio of patents and has authored multiple research papers in the same domain. She actively engages with the tech community, recently addressing the Executive Diploma batch of AI at Said Business School, Oxford University, and regularly speaks at international conferences advocating for women in technology. Recognized for her gender advocacy in innovation, she was honored at the 3AI PINNACLE AWARDS 2023 as a prominent figure in AI & Analytics (‘Women to Watch Out for in AI & Analytics’). She holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and prior to Mastercard, she was with J.P. Morgan & Chase in their consumer banking Innovation Team.
