With over two decades of experience in AI, ML, and engineering, Andy is recognized for his ability to build and implement business-critical technology solutions that address real-world challenges at scale. Prior to joining Numenta, Andy was the Senior Director of Engineering for Latch, where he led the engineering team to build a robust, scalable, data-driven software platform. Andy has also served in engineering roles at Microsoft, where he played a pivotal role in developing Machine Learning operations (MLOps) tools for Azure ML Services. Beyond his technical expertise, Andy has led and mentored high-performing engineering teams, effectively turning visions into realities. Andy holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Sciences from Peking University and Johns Hopkins University, and an M.B.A. from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
