Gideon Mendels is CEO and co-founder of Comet, a New York-based MLOps company that provides a self-hosted and cloud-based platform for teams to track, compare, explain, monitor, and optimize machine learning training runs and models in production. Previously, Gideon founded GroupWize, whose team trained and deployed more than 50 natural language processing (NLP) models in 15 languages. He trained and put into production deep learning classifiers for 500 languages at Columbia University and worked on hate speech and deception detection at Google. He holds his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Columbia University in New York.
