Ankit has been awarded 40 under 40 Data Scientists Award by AnalyticsIndiaMagazine, a renowned data science publication. He is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Amazon where he has worked on several ML initiatives across the Amazon ecosystem. He has led the effort on building Multi-Variate-Testing(MVT) based applications for Amazon product pages to increase customer conversion. He has also worked on improving the performance of MVT by using ML techniques for which Amazon has filed for a patent in March 2021. Currently, Ankit works in Amazon’s Alexa Shopping organization where he owns the engine which generates reorder recommendations which are served when Alexa is prompted for – What’s the weather, Where’s my Stuff?, Post Checkout workflow. He is also working towards improving the customer experience by using ML techniques for reducing customer frustration. In AI for Good Foundation, Ankit is part of their fund-raising group where he helps in identifying and driving the technical vision of the spin-off teams from the group which can create an impact by accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adapted by the United Nations. Additionally, Ankit is a Limited Partner in several AI-focused angel syndicates where he helps those syndicates with scouting and investing in startups developing AI-based solutions. For instance, Ankit helped USA-based Ride Wave Ventures to identify and invest in SellerGini which uses AI to create an omnichannel growth management platform for e-commerce businesses. As an early-stage investor in those startups, Ankit helps them with their product and technology strategy. Ankit is also the founder of youtube channel – TechTakshila, which aims at bridging the college-corporate gap by providing a platform for professionals from big tech companies(think FAANG) to share content on the skill sets required for excelling in the tech industry. He owns content creation for data science basic concepts, data science interviews and machine learning system design. Currently, he has built a community of ~4K machine learning enthusiasts who follow his content and contribute to the community.
