In the current era of digital marketing, companies widely adopt personalization and recommendation systems to enhance the user experience. In this context, click-through rate (CTR) has become an essential business metric to understand customer behavior, making its prediction crucial for companies that rely on digital marketing channels. Although several methods have been studied in depth, the adoption of Deep Learning in this field is still recent. In this talk, we will introduce a Deep Learning approach to tackle the CTR prediction problem that we used to solve personalized email campaigns at scale for a very large US retail company. We will discuss the main challenges while diving into the architecture and implementation of the model.
